Chair Animation Help

Logan showed me this article about this software called Keyshot. (the image above was rendered in 40 seconds) The software is a rendering program which uses a render engine similar to Maxwell’s Fire. It is optimized for industrial design, pretty much anything smaller than a car that could be shot in a studio. I got pretty excited about it after downloading it because it cranks out these renders in about 45 seconds. Something unheard of for any Maxwell user. The software also had an animation component. Its pretty basic, and just renders all the frames you’d like it to. Since render times are about 40 seconds a complex frame, you can actually render animations and get quick results. Usually people render out scenes from 3ds Max and rendered with a Vray plug in. I recall reading a post where the guy said his render times at 30 MINUTES a frame. (industry standard is 30 frames per Second, so a 2 minute video with those render times would take 1800 hours or 75 days.)

I digress…

I have decided to undertake my first true animation using Keyshot. The subject matter will be famous modern chairs. The video will just be footage of the chairs shot nice. I have begun the process of finding models of these chairs on the internet. Here is the list of chairs I have models of OR want to include.

I need help with this list,

What am I missing? is it too many, should I leave some out? What do you think of the concept? How long should it be? I dont have much of a story board or concept. What is the climax of this video? I was going to have all of the chairs shot in a ‘studio’ environment, due to simplicity, will that get old after 1:30 of footage?

Input please!
