The Importance of Postproduction

Billigns, MT Architecture

Thought you guys might be interested to see in increments what my Photoshop process looks like. I rely on photoshop and postproduction really heavily. I always think it is interesting to see what is render and what is photoshop.

First picture is the Raw Render I start with.

I spend the most time in stage two which involves adding background, an interesting sky, additional texture, reflections, lighting effects, and entourage.

Final step is adjusting all the highlights shadows and contrast until I feel like the image pops, this involves me stacking many copies of the flattened image on top of each and editing each a little differently.

  1. Post production is critical in any rendering. For this project, I think it helped it tremendously. I like all the ‘leaking’ textures you added on the ground floor elements. The reflections in the wet asphalt look great too.
    Nice work
